Getting Started
How do I sign up to become a crew member?
Download the free ForCrew app, create your profile, and set up your services, prices, and availability. It takes just a few minutes — you're listing your own cleaning business on the marketplace, not filling out a job application.
What are the requirements to join?
You must be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., have cleaning experience, reliable transportation, a smartphone, and be willing to pass a background check.
How long does it take to get set up?
Your profile is typically reviewed within 2–5 business days, and the background check may take an additional 3–5 days. Once you're verified, you can start accepting bookings right away.
Is there a fee to join?
No. Joining SanCrew is completely free. There are no signup fees, monthly charges, or hidden costs. Training through SanCrew Academy is also free.
Pay & Earnings
How much can I earn?
That's up to you — you set your own prices for every service, so what you earn depends on the rates you charge and how much you work. You keep what you charge, minus a service fee on customers who find you through the marketplace. On customers you bring to SanCrew yourself, you keep 100%.
When do I get paid?
You're paid per job, not on a fixed weekly cycle. After a job is completed, your earnings are credited to your account and become available to withdraw — so your pay keeps pace with your work.
Am I an employee or independent contractor?
Crew members are independent contractors. You set your own schedule, choose which jobs to accept, and use your own methods and supplies. You'll receive a 1099 form for tax purposes.
Are there any fees deducted from my earnings?
SanCrew charges a service fee on each completed job. The fee percentage is shown before you accept any job, so there are no surprises.
Scheduling & Jobs
Can I choose my own schedule?
Absolutely. You set your availability in the app, and you'll only receive job offers that fit your schedule. There are no minimum hours required.
What happens if I need to cancel a job?
We understand things come up. You can cancel a job through the app, but repeated cancellations after accepting may affect your account standing and access to future jobs.
Do I need to bring my own cleaning supplies?
Yes. As an independent contractor, you provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment. We recommend eco-friendly, non-toxic products. SanCrew Academy has a course on recommended products.
Can I work in multiple service areas?
Yes. You can set multiple service areas in your profile. The wider your coverage, the more job opportunities you'll receive.
Support & Training
What is SanCrew Academy?
SanCrew Academy is our free online training platform. It includes courses on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, customer service, eco-friendly practices, and business skills.
Is training required?
New crew members must complete the onboarding modules before accepting their first job. Additional courses are optional but recommended — they can help you earn higher ratings and more bookings.
What if I have a problem during a job?
Our crew support team is available 24/7. You can reach us through the app, by phone, or by email. We're here to help with client issues, safety concerns, or any questions.
Am I covered by insurance on the job?
SanCrew provides liability protection for jobs completed through the platform. This covers accidental property damage during a service. We recommend maintaining your own insurance as well.
Still Have Questions?
Our crew support team is available 24/7 to help.
