Common questions
Who qualifies for a free cleaning?
Veterans and seniors (65+) living in our service area — San Francisco, Alameda, and San Mateo counties — who couldn't otherwise afford a professional cleaning. We prioritize those living alone or with limited mobility.
How do I nominate someone?
Email us at [email protected] with their name, neighborhood, and a sentence about their situation. You can nominate a family member, a neighbor, or yourself. We follow up personally on every nomination.
Does the person receiving the cleaning pay anything?
Nothing, ever. The cleaning is fully funded by the SanCrew Community Fund, and the independent pro who does the work is paid their full rate by SanCrew.
Is SanCrew a charity?
No — SanCrew is a cleaning marketplace, and the Community Fund is our own giving program. We don't accept donations. The fund grows one way: people booking recurring cleanings through SanCrew.
